The olive tree is a typically Mediterranean one adapted to the climate of the region. Despite being a hardy species, it has a series of limitations that restricts its distribution areas to the Mediterranean climate.
It can tolerate temperatures of up to -10 ºC, but it is sensitive to frosts. High temperatures can also be harmful, particularly when the blossom is on the tree. Even though olive trees can be found in a large variety of areas, it grows better in areas with rainfall between 600-800 mm/year.
Verdial specialises in growing this type of trees and stocks a range from hundred-old established olive trees to saplings. We also provide specialist know-how on how to look after them and on how to transplant and acclimatize them. Furthermore, our distribution network serves the whole Mediterranean area, including France and North Africa.
